Tell Your Story
How to speak to those we want to vote our way?
In our panic, we can ofter appear as pointing a finger …
The answer, according to psychologists and strategists?
Tell your own story. It may mirror their own, and they can hear it in a different light.
What is your story? Were you born somewhere else and arrived as an immigrant, knowing the worth of what America did for you and what you have done for America? Tell your followers, within your own social media sphere of influence, why you are voting the way you are.
Take some time this week and in the coming days—sixty-nine days to be exact—to post your own story, your own reasons, and your hopes for the future.
Then, call a neighbor who you think might not take the time to vote, and ask them to go vote with you and then have breakfast.
One day at a time. One story at a time. No finger-pointing. No fear. Just hope for tomorrow.
