SBC’s favorite sources for info…
It includes all things “The Bulwark”, especially The Triad by Jonathan V. Last and anything by Tim Miller, Sarah Longwell, and Bill Kristol. The nice thing about the content in The Bulwark is it’s quite nuanced - they don’t all agree with each other and are good at picking at ideas from different perspectives. The Bulwark puts out a number of podcasts - my favorites are the daily one by Tim Miller - he gets great guests (used to be run by Charlie Sykes, who I also enjoy), The Secret Pod (just for paid subscribers), The Focus Group by Sarah Longwell, and the recent podcast addition - George Conway Explains it all to Sarah Longwell (which focuses on legal political commentary).
I get a morning email with "5 things you should know” to start your day by Bloomberg. I read Puck News periodically as well, and articles from ProPublica and The Atlantic.
When it comes to who to follow on Threads (I gave up my X account, but he’s probably on there too) I like Aaron Rupar (he has a Substack too), Ben Wittes (he also has a Substack), all of The Bulwark folks, Anne Applebaum, Meidas Touch, Republican voters Against Trump, Max Boot, Frank Figliuzzi, and so many more.
