Naming Names. Meet Your Senate. Time to Get to Work. The Kill America Bill. Dead on Arrival.
Christine Merser, May 29. 2025
I know it’s a lot … but you can pick and choose what you do, what you pass on, who you pass on, and what to put your personal focus around … it’s a smorgasbord of evil to choose from. Pick something. Make it your passion until this bill is defeated. The entire bill. We will not settle for compromise. There is no partial win on this one. cm
As the Senate prepares to vote next week on the so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” which we will refer to as the Kill America Bill 2025, we are watching two things, the legislation itself, and those who will or will not betray their oath to the Constitution.
This bill is not just another round of partisan brawling over fiscal policy. It is a direct assault on democratic norms, judicial independence, and the very principles that allow the Senate to operate as a check on executive overreach.
And yet, most Republican opposition so far has ignored all that. They’re only talking about the price tag.
First, understand what we should be focused on. The money things can be fixed later. The threat to the constitution cannot. If these changes are not taken out - well, you can see for yourself that it is game over.
The Real Threats Buried in the Bill
Expanded Executive Authority with No Oversight
Provision
The bill incorporates elements of the REINS Act, mandating that all major federal regulations receive congressional approval before taking effect. Additionally, it consolidates federal antitrust enforcement within the Department of Justice, removing this authority from the Federal Trade Commission.
Implication
These changes significantly enhance executive power by allowing the President greater control over regulatory processes and antitrust enforcement, potentially limiting checks from independent agencies.

Stripping Independence from the Courts
Provision
Section 70302 of the bill stipulates that federal courts cannot enforce contempt citations against government officials who defy court orders unless the plaintiff has posted a bond. This requirement applies retroactively to existing court orders.
Implication
This measure undermines judicial authority by restricting courts' ability to enforce compliance with their orders, effectively weakening the judiciary’s role as a check on executive actions.

Targeting Protest and Dissent
Provision
The bill includes language that could be used to penalize organizations and individuals involved in protests, particularly those opposing government policies. While specific details are limited, concerns have been raised about provisions that may allow the executive branch to target nonprofits and suppress dissent under the guise of national security.
Implication
Such provisions pose a threat to First Amendment rights by potentially criminalizing peaceful protest and restricting the activities of organizations that challenge government actions.

Election Manipulation
Provision
The bill imposes a 10-year moratorium on state and local regulations concerning artificial intelligence, including its use in elections and political campaigns.
Implication
This restriction could hinder efforts to regulate AI-driven misinformation and election interference, potentially compromising the integrity of electoral processes.

Permanent Erosion of Checks and Balances
Provision
The cumulative effect of the bill’s provisions, expanding executive authority, limiting judicial enforcement, and restricting regulatory oversight, represents a significant shift in the balance of power among the branches of government.
Implication
By concentrating power within the executive branch and diminishing the roles of the judiciary and independent agencies, the bill threatens the foundational principle of separation of powers that underpins American democracy.
This is the most important action. Please demand on social media over and over again that our media focus on this and not the money. This is what will kill us - for good. This is what he needs.
And forward this to your friends.
And, demand that our representatives focus on these points publicly. Often. Press conferences. In the media.
Who to Focus On?
So, I tried to break this down to the ones that will actually vote no, and we will see who still has a spine, who still has a soul, and who should be permanently removed from public life the next time their name appears on a ballot, if we have the luxury of ballots in the future. Or even before 2026, with petitions for them to resign, which I will lay out shortly.
Senators Likely to Oppose the Bill on Fiscal Grounds Only
This group, ironically, may be the most dangerous of all.
Why?
Because their objections were anticipated in advance by Project 2025 and Trump’s legal team. They are playing a role. Their fiscal complaints are already baked into the script. And in the coming days, a few minor edits to the bill, the removal of a line here, the delay of a provision there, will allow them to emerge with a victory speech.
They’ll say, “We fixed it.” They’ll pose as heroes. But it’s all theater.
Nothing they’re negotiating changes the bill’s fundamental threat to democracy.
Watch them closely. Make sure you follow them. Start to call them out. Start to share their call outs, and demand they stand up. Ask your friends to do the same. On social media.

Senators Who Might Be Reached Through a Moral Appeal
These senators have shown ethical judgment in the past. If any Republicans are going to stand for democracy, these are our best bets. But this is my opinion, not fact. Know anyone in these states? Pass it on! Tell them to speak up. Tell them to organize small protests and demand they vote no on the basis of the bill’s demolishment of democracy. Have them send letters to local newspapers.

Senators Who Once Stood Up When It Counted
• Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, Bill Cassidy, Todd Young, who I already listed above. But tell them they did it once, they can do it again.
• Mitt Romney, retired, but his legacy reminds us what integrity looks like. Resurrect him in your posts and conversations. How about we ask him to speak up this week. And Liz Cheney? And who else?
Senators Up for Re-election in 2026 (Republicans)
Every Republican senator voting on this bill should be reminded daily that we are watching. Tell them we will support them if they do the right thing. Tell them we will register as republicans. Tell them we will send them money immediately if they pledge to do the right thing. Tell them America is behind them standing up to do the right thing. And, pass it on. Get five people to do the same as you for the next seven days and get them to get five people and so on.

Our Next Move? You Should Be Very, Very Afraid.
If you vote for this bill — if you side with Donald Trump over the Constitution — we will come for your seat.
We are launching a $20 million campaign (for each senator) to ensure every senator who votes yes is removed from office in 2026, or before.
We will,
• Flood digital platforms with ads targeting your name and record
• Saturate social media for the next seven days — your vote will follow you everywhere
• Launch local campaigns in your home states
• Support and fund primary challengers
• Expose your full record — not just on this bill, but on every betrayal
This is not politics. This is accountability.
What You Can Do Right Now
1. Forward this article to everyone you know — especially people in the states listed above.
2. Tag your friends who live in those states and ask them to call their senators immediately.
3. Post on social media, today, tomorrow, every day this week. Use the senator’s name. Use the hashtag. Tell the truth.
4. Write your own email or post using this information. Make it personal. Make it loud.
5. Support a challenger, or become one. We’re ready to help fund and amplify primary campaigns.
We need numbers. We need noise. We need names.
Every Republican senator voting yes is trying to convince themselves that you won’t notice. Let’s make sure they know before the vote that you will. It’s game day. We can do this.

Dear Editor,
I’m a lifelong Mainer, and I’ve voted for Senator Susan Collins in the past. But if she votes yes on the Kill America bill, I will spend every day until the next election working to replace her. This bill is a betrayal of our values. It threatens everything from public education to health care access to the very idea of free elections. We need leaders who protect democracy—not dismantle it quietly.
