George Carlin Challenges Freedom of Choice in America
by Christine Merser
Regardless of what happens on Tuesday, we have to keep digging deeper and figure out how we got to this devastating moment in time.
Watch this video of George Carlin as we the people start to ponder moving in other directions. He died in 2008. I couldn’t find the origin of this short conversation, but interesting that we haven’t caught on to the fact that there is too much power and wealth in the hands of too few. We talk about it, but we haven’t started acting on it - yet.
The good news is that they need our $$ to keep their power, and as soon as this election is over… well, we need to start redistributing where we spend our gold and silver.
Just food for thought today. And, have a nice day.
Here is the text version if you need it.
(0:00) You don't need a formal conspiracy. (0:04) When interests converge, these people went to the same universities and fraternities, (0:08) they're on the same boards of directors, they're in the same country clubs, (0:11) they have like interests, they don't need to call a meeting, (0:14) they know what's good for them, and they're getting it. (0:17) And there used to be seven oil companies, there are now three, it will soon be two.
(0:22) The things that matter in this country have been reduced in choice, (0:24) there are two political parties, there are a handful of insurance companies, (0:28) there are about six or seven information, but if you want a bagel, there are 23 flavors, (0:32) because you have the illusion, you have the illusion of choice. (0:36) You don't get the real importance, there's no freedom of choice. (0:39) That's a great point.
